......LHS News......
Originally sent Sept. 25

I am so sorry to report the passing of John Lewis Richardson, Jr., on Sept. 16 in Watauga, TX. John was class '62 and brother of our '59 classmate Judy (Richardson) Lee. John married Sherry (Tremain) also class '62.
John and Sherry were married 45 years, had 3 daughters, and lived most of their married life in Ft. Worth area. I know our sympathies are with Sherry and Judy and the family at this difficult time.

Also passing, a former LHS teacher. Kenneth S. Colvin, Sr., 82, of Cache, passed away on Sept. 18. Services were Monday Sept. 22 at Antioch Baptist church in Geronimo with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Veteran's Field of Honor. Mr. Colvin was born in Frederick, graduated Cache High School, attended Cameron, SEastern State Teacher's College in Durant, a scholarship at OU in geology. He taught science at LHS from 1964 until his retirement in 1985. He is survived by wife Martha, one son, and three daughters.
An on line guest book is at: <www.grayfuneral.com>

Great picture of the sixth grade at Howell School. Many went on to become our fellow '59 classmates and grads! See if you can identify any of them??** With thanks to Ed Adams for sharing the picture. Well, theres a clue....Ed is in there somewhere!

Heard from several including Wade Harrison and Frankie (Ingraham) Kinderman.....the Orpheum is NOT same as Ritz Theater as Ritz was located farther east, probably at 208 - 206 C Street! Guess Orpheum Theater was its own building and not there long? Maybe 'talkies' put it out of business?

LHS class of 1963 is having a two-day reunion.....Friday October 3, 6:30pm at Best Western in Lawton; Saturday Oct. 4, 6:30pm at Mikes Sport's Grill in Lawton. For details contact Janet (Burt) Terry at: (580) 529-3208 or (580) 678-1719.

And class 1959 - Meeting for 50th reunion planning - Monday Oct. 6. Milo-Gordon Honda, 7:00pm. YOU are needed.
