Also passing, Lee (Darvin) Fox, 58, of Lawton. Lee passed on Dec. 11 and services were in Lawton on Monday Dec. 15. Lee is a LHS grad but not sure year she graduated. She is survived by a daughter Janice Baker and a brother Ernest Darvin, several grand children.
So very sorry for these losses.
Had a lovely Christmas card and great 'newsletter' from '58 classmate Carolyn Swinney. Carolyn moved back to Nashville this past summer after several years in the Ft. Worth/Dallas area. She issued a cordial invitation to any who may be traveling her way.
Bill & I had opportunity to be in Medicine Park this past week-end for a Christmas party at the Music Hall (old skating rink) which was most festive. But what I want to pass along is how beautiful the park looked. It was a rare evening in Oklahoma, no wind, not too cold, and along the river walk (we walked) especially from in front of the Plantation (old hotel) toward the Music Hall the Christmas lights are just beautiful.
Many of the houses are also decorated and its a lovely, quaint, experience. There has been a lot of hard, dedicated work put into the Park the past few years. I highly recommend a drive out some warmer evening if you have opportunity before first of year. I think lights will be up through New Years.
If you want to have dinner while there, the food at the Plantation is good, as is Riverside Cafe. I don't know hours at Riverside Cafe but the Plantation is open 11:00am - 9:00pm, 7 days a week.
Earl Barton sent me this.......love it!

After being almost 80 Sunday, front blew in at dark and it is bitter cold, overnight 18. About 16 as I write this on Monday night. Gonna be a cold Tuesday morning! Currently dry, but possible sleet coming in tonight. Stay warm, snuggle up with someone you (heart).........Georgia
